Harvard Gardens

Harvard Gardens is on Cambridge Street opposite Massachusetts General Hospital, well away from Harvard Square. The long bar and leather banquettes suit a beer after work or a sit-down meal, and the menu gives you a few reasons to go beyond a burger. There’s a pretzel stuffed with Buffalo chicken, mozzarella and blue cheese, plus pork dumplings and French onion soup.

For dinner, choices include haddock fish and chips, steak tips, a Reuben and a wild mushroom white pizza. The HG Burger comes with aged cheddar, crispy onions and bacon aioli. It’s a pub with enough food to make an evening of it, whether you’re eating at the bar or meeting friends around a table.
