Willie’s

Willie’s on Charles Street serves pizza and fresh pasta with a few departures from the usual Italian menu. Its rigatoni amatriciana brings in gochujang, while the carbonara uses bottarga and yuzu kosho. Pizza can stay straightforward with cheese or margherita, or head toward spicy sausage, hot honey or mushrooms with a fried egg. Add meatballs, a plate of cured meats or a grinder if that is more your kind of lunch. The Beacon Hill restaurant has regular tables, high-tops and bar seats, plus a seasonal patio offered first come, first served. Reservations are available, and walk-ins are welcome. It works for a sit-down meal or takeout when you would rather bring the pizza home.
