Thornton’s Boston Breakfast and Lunch Restaurant

Thornton’s on Huntington Avenue serves breakfast throughout its daytime hours, with a menu that gives you plenty of reasons to arrive hungry. There are pancakes, stuffed French toast, omelets and several versions of eggs Benedict. Menemen brings scrambled eggs together with tomato sauce, green peppers and caramelized onion, while the smoked-salmon plate comes with a bagel and the usual accompaniments.

If you’ve moved on to lunch, the restaurant also has a lunch menu, and carryout is available by phone. This is the Thornton’s at 150 Huntington Avenue, near the Prudential Center. It opens at 7 a.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. on weekends, closing at 4 p.m. daily. Keep that daytime schedule in mind if you’re planning a meal around a concert or an evening in Back Bay.
