Union Park Pizza

Union Park Pizza is on Newbury Street, despite the South End name. Its homemade dough comes in individual ten-inch pies and larger sixteen-inch pizzas, with toppings that range from pepperoni and Margherita to pineapple, jalapeños and confit bacon. The Neighborhood pairs ricotta, caramelized onions and mushrooms, with a sausage version available if that is where your loyalties lie.

The menu has enough beyond pizza to build a shared meal: wings, mozzarella sticks, salads and garlic-Parmesan fried dough with red sauce. Sweet dough puffs come with a ricotta dipping sauce. Beer and wine are sold at the counter, and the shop offers takeout, delivery and catering. Choose your pie size before ordering sides; the individual pizzas leave more room for those dough puffs.
