Yume Ga Arukara – Cambridge

Yume Ga Arukara in Porter Square keeps its attention on handmade udon. The classic cold bowl comes with beef, ginger, seaweed, scallions, tempura crumbs, daikon and lemon, giving you plenty to mix through the thick noodles. Hot versions use chicken broth, while spicy bowls add house-made chili paste and oil. The Cambridge shop is inside the Lesley University building at 1815 Massachusetts Avenue, so head indoors rather than looking for a separate street entrance. Seating is first come, first served, and the restaurant waits until your whole party arrives. A cold bowl without beef can suit pescatarians, but the base still contains fish; this is not a vegetarian noodle shop.
