Simons Theatre

The Simons Theatre puts ocean life on a screen nearly five stories high. Part of the New England Aquarium at Central Wharf, it shows nature films with 3D presentations that make a small animal’s world look enormous. The current program includes 45-minute films, a manageable outing if you’re visiting with children or fitting a movie into a waterfront afternoon.

You can buy a film ticket on its own or combine it with Aquarium admission. Those are separate choices when booking, so you don’t need to commit to both. Check the film schedule before heading over; each title has its own showtimes. Aquarium station on the Blue Line is nearby.
