La Tavernetta

La Tavernetta by MIDA is the all-day waterfront taverna at 45 Lewis Street in East Boston, at Clippership Wharf, a sister to MIDA. Hours are 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The room holds many walk-ins; the bar is first come, first served; reservations cover indoor and patio seats. The menu is coastal Italian: oysters on the half shell, pasta alla Norma, frutti di mare spaghettone with clams, rock shrimp, crab, and lobster brodo, scallop ceviche, Calabrian chile wings, mozzarella in carrozza, and a spiedini platter of grilled skewers.
