Experience all the excitement of First Night and First Day! Enjoy a series of FREE events open to everyone in the city. The celebrations will start at 12PM December 31st and end on January 1st at 4PM.
The celebration will kick off at noon on December 31st with live performances in Copley Square, the Prudential Center and Copley Place. Later in the day, the ice sculptures will light up and a large procession will make its way to Boston Common for the first fireworks show. Live music performances will last until midnight when the countdown begins. Boston’s Family Fireworks, sponsored by The Mugar Foundation, will take place on the Boston Common at 7PM and there will be a countdown on Copley to ring in the New Year!
Since 1975, Boston’s First Night has been a New Year’s Eve celebration of artistic performances, the wonders of the season, and the beginning of a new year. In keeping with this fantastic Boston tradition, the First Night celebration will open 2022 with an array of performances.
Are the ice sculptures going to be on display until Saturday ?
