Puttshack

Puttshack in the Seaport takes the pencil and scorecard out of miniature golf. The ball tracks your score as you work through nine holes with interactive challenges, so everyone can concentrate on playing rather than arguing over the arithmetic. A round usually takes thirty to forty-five minutes, depending on your group and how busy the course is. There is food and a cocktail menu if you want to eat before playing or stay afterward. Book ahead for a weekend visit; walk-ins depend on available space. Families should also watch the clock: the venue becomes twenty-one-plus after 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. It is an indoor option when the weather rules out outdoor plans.
