The Wilbur

The Wilbur is a place to see a comedian you have been watching at home stand in front of you on Tremont Street. Taylor Tomlinson, Tig Notaro, and Sarah Silverman have all filmed specials here, and stand-up shares the calendar with live music and other performances. The theater dates to 1914, with American Colonial architecture and a compact auditorium that keeps the stage central to the room. Choose your seats with the layout in mind: the mezzanine and balcony require stairs, with no elevator to those levels. Accessible seating is available elsewhere. For a night out, the Theater District location makes dinner before the show an easy part of the plan.
