Boston police responded to a call Tuesday night, March 24, 2026, in the area of Bradwood Street near Belgrade Avenue.

According to authorities, the situation escalated into a standoff that required a SWAT response.

Police said the man was believed to be inside the residence and refused to come out, prompting officers to secure the area and bring in specialized units.

Neighbors reported a large police presence as the situation unfolded, with streets blocked off while officers worked to bring the incident under control.

The standoff ended later that night when the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

No injuries have been reported.
