Waypoint, pizza in Cambridge

Waypoint

Waypoint gives seafood several ways onto the table: oysters and crudo from the raw bar, clam pizza, and pasta with lobster, crab, or uni. Chef Michael Scelfo’s restaurant sits on Massachusetts Avenue between Harvard and Central squares. Lobster cacio e pepe and uni bucatini show how far the menu travels beyond a conventional fish dinner, while salt cod croquettes make a smaller starting point.

There are choices for the person who came along without wanting seafood, including steak frites. The bar’s absinthe selection adds another reason to look closely at the drinks menu. Reserve for dinner with friends or a longer evening over a few courses, and check the current menu before choosing your order.
