Union Oyster House

Union Oyster House has served meals on Union Street since 1826, and the old oyster bar and dining stalls remain part of the reason to book a table. The menu suits the setting: oysters and cherrystones on the half shell, clam chowder, broiled scrod and boiled or broiled lobster. You can keep lunch to a lobster roll or order a seafood platter with fried fish, clams, oysters, shrimp and calamari. Boston baked beans are available on the side, with Boston cream pie for dessert. Near Faneuil Hall and on the Freedom Trail, it is an easy place to make lunch part of a day spent walking through the older parts of downtown.
