The Abbey – Brookline
The Abbey in Brookline’s Washington Square serves its full menu until 1:30 a.m., so a late dinner can still mean pasta or steak. Bison Bolognese comes over fresh linguine, while the hanger steak gets chimichurri and fries. You can also make a meal of smaller dishes, including Korean pulled pork dumplings, sour cream and onion deviled eggs, and falafel with harissa whipped feta. Beer choices cover New England breweries alongside familiar lagers, with cocktails and nonalcoholic beer available. There is a separate gluten-free menu and a children’s menu, which help when everyone is ordering differently. Check the Brookline menu specifically before visiting; it shares a name with the Cambridge restaurant, but the dishes differ.
