Temple Records

Temple Records puts vinyl at the center of a night out on Temple Place. Inspired by Japanese listening bars, it plays records throughout the evening and keeps shaken cocktails off the menu to avoid adding noise. You can order whiskey, Japanese gin, sake, shōchū or wine while the music runs. Food goes beyond a bowl of bar snacks: the changing menu has included karaage fried chicken, pork belly wraps, mushroom dumplings and maki. That gives you room to stay for something substantial if one drink becomes an evening. Run by the team behind neighboring Somaek, the bar welcomes walk-ins. Come for a drink with someone who will appreciate what is on the turntable.
