Peregrine

Peregrine is the restaurant on the lobby level of the Whitney Hotel, directly across from Charles/MGH station. Its coastal Mediterranean menu includes salt cod croquettes, tuna crudo and steamed mussels with nduja. Larger dishes range from spaghetti with guanciale and pecorino to beef cheek spezzatino with Parmesan mashed potatoes. You don’t need a hotel reservation to book a table.

The restaurant serves breakfast, weekday lunch, weekend brunch and dinner, so it works for several kinds of plans. Breakfast might mean a bacon-and-egg bagel with Brie and chimichurri; dinner can end with pistachio and ricotta cake. Cocktails and wines round out the meal. Leave time to eat rather than treating it as a quick stop before catching the train.
