Pennypacker’s at High Street Place is best approached with porchetta in mind. The pork is seasoned with herbs and garlic, roasted with its skin on, then served in a sandwich with onions agrodolce or marinated broccoli rabe. That’s the signature order, but the counter also makes sandwiches with roast chicken, flank steak and lamb.

A burrata Caprese sandwich gives vegetarians a substantial option, with basil butter and balsamic-marinated tomatoes on focaccia. Soups, salads and sides change with the season, and mac and cheese or crispy potatoes can round out lunch.
