Moona – Central Square

Moona in Central Square serves Lebanese-inspired mezze with plenty of reasons to pass plates around. Start with za’atar pull-apart bread, roasted-pepper muhammara or hot-pepper labneh, then add lamb kefta, chicken shish tawook or a whole grilled fish for the table. The menu gives vegetables more than a supporting role, with falafel, asparagus fatteh and cucumber fattoush among the choices. Lebanese and Greek wines sit alongside cocktails made with ingredients such as arak, mastiha and cardamom. There are alcohol-free drinks too, including pomegranate with rose and soda. The Main Street restaurant takes reservations through OpenTable. Bring someone willing to share, because choosing just one dish would be the difficult part.
