Downeast Cider House

Downeast Cider House puts its East Boston taproom inside the production facility, so the tanks and equipment are part of the visit. The indoor tasting is limited to one flight per person per day, with a changing selection of cider flavors to choose from. Full pours are served in the outdoor cider garden across the shipyard during its May-to-October season. Both spaces take walk-ins rather than reservations. You can bring snacks, but indoor tables are small, and larger groups may need to sit separately. There are no formal tours, though the production floor is visible from the taproom.
