Cunard Tavern

Cunard Tavern is the Jeffries Point gastropub at 24 Orleans Street, a few blocks from the old Cunard Wharf story the room is built around. East Boston native Tony Messina, the James Beard winner from Uni, is consulting chef and partner; the dinner list has included lobster poutine with black pepper gravy, grilled street corn, and a Thai-herb citrus salad alongside bar food meant for sharing. Martini Mondays bring half-size martinis and sliders. Tuesday trivia starts at 7 p.m. Weekend brunch runs until 2:30 p.m. Upstairs, The Layover is the rooftop bar, back for the 2026 season with rum drinks and a walk-up window; the deck also books private events year-round. Reservations are recommended, not required. The downstairs room and The Layover upstairs are the two halves of the same Orleans Street tavern.
