bartaco – Fenway

Bartaco’s Fenway location serves small tacos at 100 Van Ness Street, with enough variety to mix several fillings in one meal. Baja fish comes with chipotle slaw, chicken tinga brings smoky chile heat, and the cauliflower taco pairs roasted vegetables with chickpea hummus and pistachio chimichurri. Corn tortillas are standard, with lettuce shells available for many tacos.

Guacamole, street corn and plantains give the table something to share while everyone works through their own choices. There are rice bowls and a children’s menu as well, plus cocktails for a longer visit. The restaurant uses an online waitlist, which is helpful to check before heading over. It’s the Fenway branch, within the Van Ness development, rather than the Seaport location.
