“Nature: A Walking Play” Returns To The Trustees
An outdoor walking play celebrating the connection between humans and nature takes place in three different locations this summer. This is a great family-friendly activity and members get special pricing on tickets!
An immersive and family-friendly telling of Emerson, Thoreau and their mutual love of the natural world returns to The Trustees! The Trustees and TigerLion Arts present this event to celebrate the connection between humanity and nature, with the opportunity to view the play in an outdoor setting.
The tour starts at Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, MA at the site of a commune founded in 1843 by Brinson Alcott. Alcott appears as a character in the play, along with Charles Lane. Next, go over to Appleton Farms in Ipswich to one of the country’s oldest continuously operating farms to visit the grasslands, livestock, stone walls, crops and old farm buildings. Lastly, the tour ends in Walpole with performances at Francis William Bird Park. Open fields lined by tree groves, winding pathways, stone bridges and a trio of ponds make this a memorable spot.
Member tickets are $36 for adults and $16 for children. Nonmember tickets are $45 for adults and $20 for children (children under 5 are free). Look at the locations below and buy tickets for the place you want to visit!
