Lana Under The Stars: One Night Only Tribute Takes Over Boston’s Planetarium

Boston, this is not a drill.

On Thursday, March 12 at 7:30 pm, the dome at the Charles Hayden Planetarium transforms into a cinematic Lana Del Rey universe for Born to Die: A Tribute to Lana Del Rey — a one-night-only performance that blends live orchestral music with immersive full-dome visuals overhead.

Headlining the night is legendary chanteuse Niki Luparelli, known for her sold-out tributes to David Bowie, Stevie Nicks, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Blondie. Now she returns to light up the planetarium with a sweeping tribute to the one and only Lana Del Rey.

A 10-Piece Orchestra. Strings. Harp. Full Dome Visuals.

Backed by a 10-piece orchestra that includes strings and harp, Luparelli brings her classically trained and artfully worn voice to special arrangements of Lana favorites from:

  • Born to Die
  • Ultraviolence
  • Honeymoon
  • Norman Fing Rockwell*

And more.

The music unfolds beneath stunning, original visuals projected across the entire dome ceiling, surrounding the audience in light and sound. It is immersive. It is cinematic. It is Lana — reimagined.

Music To Watch The Boys To… Under The Stars

This is an adults-only evening, designed for fans 18 and up who want to experience the drama, romance, and melancholy of Lana Del Rey in a completely new way.

One night. One dome. One orchestra.

We’re Off to the Races.
