Vee Vee

Vee Vee is a small Jamaica Plain restaurant with a patio set back from Centre Street, a useful detail when you want dinner outdoors without sitting beside traffic. Dan and Kristen Valachovic opened it in 2008, and the menu centers on seasonal American cooking, with wine and regional craft beer to drink. Tuesday brings fried chicken with a cheddar biscuit and seasonal sides. Inside, the dining room is compact; outside seating depends on the weather. You can reserve a table or try for one of the seats held for walk-ins. It is a casual dinner spot, so there is no need to dress up for a meal with friends or a neighborhood date.
