Rami’s
Rami’s has served Middle Eastern-Israeli food on Harvard Street since 1990. Falafel, turkey shawarma and chicken schnitzel can go into pita or become a plate with salad and hummus. The pita orders include vegetables, tahini and hot sauce, while the plate options give you more room to combine several parts of the menu.
Bourekas with spinach, potato or mushroom make a smaller addition, and hummus and baba ghanoush are sold by the pound for meals at home. The restaurant follows a kosher schedule: it closes early on Fridays, stays closed on Saturdays and observes Jewish holidays. Check ahead around those dates, since ordinary weekly hours do not tell the whole story. Rami’s is at 324 Harvard Street, within walking distance of the Coolidge Corner Green Line stop.
