Angela’s Cafe Eagle Hill
Angela’s Cafe in Eagle Hill cooks food rooted in Puebla, the Mexican state where Angela Atenco Lopez learned to cook. The mole poblano combines chocolate, nuts, sesame seeds, raisins and other ingredients, served with your choice of protein, handmade tortillas, rice and beans. Pipian verde offers another direction, with pepitas, tomatillos and greens in the sauce. Breakfast is a reason to come early: huevos rancheros layer eggs, beans and queso fresco over lightly fried tortillas. You can also order tacos, tamales or enchiladas for a smaller meal or a shared table. Choose the Lexington Street location when ordering or checking hours; Angela’s also operates a separate restaurant in Orient Heights.
