OAK Long Bar + Kitchen gives you a good reason to step inside the Fairmont Copley Plaza, even if you’re sleeping at home. The 83-foot copper bar is the room’s centerpiece, with restored architectural details and views toward Copley Square adding plenty to look at between drinks. The seasonal American menu covers breakfast, lunch and dinner, with brunch on weekends.

There’s room here for different kinds of evenings: a cocktail at the bar, dinner near the open-hearth oven, or a private gathering in the fireplace lounge. Food orders run until 11 p.m., an especially useful detail after a show or a late arrival in Boston. The bar stays open until midnight, with last call a little earlier. Outdoor seating is seasonal; the restaurant currently lists its patio as closed.
