Wen’s Yunnan Noodle and Ramen

Wen’s Yunnan Noodle and Ramen serves two different noodle traditions at its Newbury Street restaurant in Back Bay. The rice-noodle menu includes chicken broth, tomato chicken and braised beef brisket, along with mala and spicy-sour options. On the ramen side, choices include tonkotsu, spicy miso, shoyu and shio, plus vegetarian versions of the latter two.

You can also skip the soup. The dry ramen comes tossed in sauce with chashu, egg and vegetables, while rice bowls include curry chicken katsu and braised brisket. Gyoza, scallion pancakes and chashu buns round out the smaller plates. Start by deciding which broth you want; the menu gives you enough choices that ordering simply by the meat would miss half the point.
