The Wig Shop occupies a former wig store on Temple Place, and the name is part of the fun. Inside, it is a cocktail lounge with blue velvet seating and a changing drinks menu. Tell the bartenders what you like if nothing on the list quite fits. Food goes beyond a bowl of nuts: lobster-topped buttermilk pancakes, miniature burgers and crab-and-corn fritters give you something to share while you settle in. The bar is for guests 21 and older. It accepts walk-ins and limited reservations, with booking windows that vary by day. Check Resy before heading over, particularly if you want a table for a small group.
