The Press Room Boston Seaport
The Press Room gives you a reason to arrive at Alamo Drafthouse Seaport before the movie. This separate bar serves cocktails, wine, and local draft beer alongside a collection of original printing blocks used for cinema newspaper advertisements. The displays cover the 1930s through the 1980s, showing how films were sold to readers before trailers lived on everyone’s phone.
Guests can take a self-guided look through the collection, which includes a working Vandercook proof press used for printing demonstrations. Check the event calendar for trivia and tabletop gaming nights as well. It is a good place to discuss what you just watched over a drink, with enough movie history around you to start another conversation.
