The Longfellow Bar

The Longfellow Bar sits above Alden & Harlow in Harvard Square, with two floors for cocktails and food from chef Michael Scelfo. The menu gives you plenty to pass around: deviled eggs with potato chips and salmon roe, jalapeño honey chicken tenders, and waffle fries with kewpie mayo, avocado and chili crisp. If drinks become dinner, the burger comes with Cooper Sharp cheese, bacon and French onion dip. Cocktails range from gin with cucumber and lychee to a mix of cachaça, mezcal, Campari and pineapple; there are nonalcoholic options, too. Reserve a table for a catch-up over several plates, and leave room for an oatmeal cookie sandwich with cream cheese frosting.
