The Irving at The Lenox

The Irving is the cocktail bar inside the Lenox Hotel’s lobby, with dim lighting and artwork that draws on the hotel’s history. Drinks range from Old Fashioneds to martinis, and the food menu gives you more than a bowl of nuts to work with. Roasted oysters, pork dumplings, steak tacos and focaccia pies are among the options, alongside cheese and cured-meat platters for sharing.

You don’t need a room upstairs to stop in for a drink. The Exeter Street address makes it convenient after dinner around Copley Square, and the bar stays open until 2 a.m. Saturday service begins at noon; the rest of the week starts at 4 p.m. It’s a useful choice when you want a hotel bar with enough food to turn drinks into a meal.
