Tavern in the Square – South Station

Tavern in the Square at South Station gives you a place for a meal and a drink inside the train terminal. The menu covers clam chowder, chili, burgers and grilled pizzas, with buffalo chicken dip and nachos for sharing. Sandwiches include a barbecue-chicken club and a chicken Caesar wrap, so there’s room for more than a snack while you wait.

This branch takes walk-ins rather than reservations and doesn’t offer online ordering. It also closes earlier than many of the chain’s other locations, so check its own hours before planning a late dinner. With a train to catch, let your server know your departure time before settling into a larger order.
