Tanjore Bar and Restaurant
Tanjore’s menu on Mass Ave makes room for South Indian dishes, familiar curries and Indo-Chinese cooking. Samosas come with vegetable, chicken or lamb fillings, while chili cauliflower and gobi Manchurian offer different ways to start a meal. Chicken 65, pepper fry and ghee roast dishes are worth a look before you settle on the curry section.
You’ll also find paneer dishes, noodles and rice to round out an order, with basmati rice accompanying the curries. It’s a useful menu for sharing: choose a couple of starters, then mix dishes from different sections rather than ordering several versions of the same thing. The restaurant is at 878 Massachusetts Avenue, between Central and Harvard squares. Use its Cambridge website for the current menu and ordering options.
