SoWa Art + Design District

SoWa is the South End’s art and design district, set in reclaimed warehouse buildings on Harrison Avenue, and something is happening here all year. On the first Friday of every month, from 5 to 9 PM, the studios, galleries and shops at 450 and 460 Harrison open their doors so you can meet the artists where they work. 450 Harrison has nearly 100 artist studios, and 20+ galleries sit within two blocks. Every Sunday, the SoWa Vintage Market downstairs at 450 Harrison sells antiques and vintage finds from 11 AM to 4 PM. From May into the fall, the SoWa Open Market fills Thayer Street with farmers, artists and food trucks on Sundays. In winter, the 1891 Power Station hosts the SoWa Christmas Market.
