Seoul Topokki
Seoul Topokki at 166 Harvard Avenue is built around Korean rice cakes, kimbap and dishes that are easy to share. The namesake topokki pairs soft rice cakes with fish cakes and vegetables in spicy sauce. Rapokki adds ramen noodles, while the cheese version adds mozzarella. Bulgogi topokki takes a different direction with marinated beef and soy sauce.
Kimbap comes with fillings such as bulgogi, tuna or vegetables, and seafood or kimchi pancakes make another option for the middle of the table. Larger hot pots are listed for two or more people, while bibimbap and stews work as individual meals. Read the ingredients if you avoid fish or meat: the standard spicy rice cakes contain fish cake, and several dishes that look vegetable-heavy include other animal ingredients.
