Peruvian Taste
Peruvian Taste on Arlington Avenue has a menu worth reading beyond the first familiar dish. Lomo saltado pairs stir-fried steak, onions and tomatoes with both rice and fries; ceviche comes with corn and sweet potato. The chifa section covers Peruvian Chinese cooking, including chaufa fried rice, wonton soup and chicken with tamarind sauce.
Breakfast brings pork or chicken tamales wrapped in banana leaves and pan con chicharron, a pork sandwich with sweet potato and salsa criolla. There are vegetable options, too, including vegetable chaufa and a vegan version of tacu tacu. Reserve a table for a sit-down meal, order pickup, or ask about catering for a larger gathering.
