Owl Club

The Owl Club is a private all-male final club at Harvard University, located at 30 Holyoke Street in Cambridge. Founded in 1896 as the secret society Alpha Epsilon, the group later became the Phi Delta Psi Club before adopting the Owl Club name in 1916. Its Georgian Revival clubhouse was designed by architect James Purdon, with the building formally opened in 1906. The club is known for its active social calendar, weekly dinners, formal events, and annual New York dinner for alumni. One of its longtime traditions is a black club tie patterned with green owls. This is a members-only Harvard institution, not a public bar or event venue.
