Myers+Chang
Dumplings are a good place to start at Myers+Chang in the South End. Mama Chang’s pork-and-chive version comes with black pepper-scallion dipping sauce; edamame-and-wasabi dumplings take a different direction with black vinegar aioli. Build a meal around a few plates, adding pork belly buns, wok-charred noodles or chili crisp fried rice as your appetite allows. The menu draws from several Asian cooking traditions, with room for Korean fried chicken buns and Indonesian fried rice alongside those dumplings. Vegetarian choices have their own appeal, including smoked mushroom lo mein with miso butter. Heat levels are marked on the menu, as are dietary indicators, which helps when people at the table want different things.
