Matria

Matria is the Northern Italian steakhouse inside the InterContinental Boston, on Atlantic Avenue over Fort Point Channel. It opened in June 2024 in the space that used to be Miel. Chef Jeffrey Bianchi’s menu has house-made Piedmont pasta, including agnolotti del plin stuffed with veal and short rib, plus steaks. Bagna cauda is one of the sauces you can put on the beef.

Breakfast runs on weekdays and starts later on weekends, and dinner is every night. Eat inside, or sit on the seasonal terrace, which faces the water and has fire pits. Valet is through the hotel, and South Station is a short walk. If the weather holds, there is a s’mores box for the fire.
