Little Sage
Little Sage brings chef Tony Susi and restaurateur Jen Matarazzo back together on Hanover Street, with a 50-seat dining room and house-made pasta at the center of the menu. Ricotta gnocchi and baked fazzoletti recall their earlier restaurant, Sage, while seasonal ingredients shape the dishes around them. Recent preparations include gnocchi with lobster and smoked butter, and fazzoletti with short rib, spinach and fontina. There are also brick-oven dishes for anyone who would rather have chicken, fish or steak. Start with warm olives and ciabatta or an antipasto, then leave room for olive oil cake or a chocolate-hazelnut tart. Wine, cocktails and nonalcoholic drinks make this an option for a full evening in the North End.
