Jordan Hall

Jordan Hall at New England Conservatory gives you a reason to look beyond the biggest names on a concert calendar. Its stage hosts conservatory musicians as well as visiting ensembles, with programs ranging from chamber music to larger orchestral works. The hall opened in 1903 with a Boston Symphony Orchestra concert; more than a century later, groups including A Far Cry and Boston Baroque perform here. Look up the individual event before going, since the presenter and ticket arrangements vary. NEC lists several performance spaces, so make sure your concert is actually in Jordan Hall. For this one, use the entrance on Gainsborough Street, just off Huntington Avenue.
