Joe’s Pizza – Fenway

Joe’s Pizza brings its New York slice-shop format to Boylston Street in Fenway. The appeal is a thin, foldable slice with a short list of familiar toppings, rather than a menu full of elaborate specialty combinations. Cheese, pepperoni and fresh mozzarella are the kinds of choices that keep the decision fairly simple. Whole pies make sense when you’re feeding more than yourself.

The shop is part of the Joe’s that began in Greenwich Village in 1975, though this Boston location is much newer. At 1359 Boylston Street, it’s an easy address to work into an afternoon around Fenway or a food stop before a game. Use the Fenway location when ordering online; the company also operates a Harvard Square shop, and pickup orders belong to a specific counter.
