Harvard House of Pizza
Harvard House of Pizza has been feeding Cambridge since 1973, with Greek-style pizza and dough made in house. The menu moves from a straightforward cheese pie to the Harvard Special, piled with meats, mushrooms, onions and green peppers. The Longy Special takes a different approach, pairing eggplant with spinach. You can also order calzones, grinders, wraps and pasta.
This is a useful Massachusetts Avenue stop when different people want different dinners: a steak bomb for one, chicken broccoli Alfredo for another, a shared pizza for the table. Leave room for Greek rice pudding or baklava if that sounds more appealing than another slice. The shop currently stays open until midnight every day.
