Eastern Standard Kitchen and Drinks serves oysters, steak frites and cocktails at its Beacon Street home in Fenway. You can start with roasted bone marrow or shrimp cocktail, then choose a burger with Vermont cheddar or steak with herb shallot butter. Leave room for the butterscotch bread pudding with praline ice cream and salted butter caramel. Weekday lunch and weekend brunch give you reasons to come before dinner, though a reduced menu applies between services. The entrance takes a little finding: look for the plaza between the buildings in the Bower complex rather than a door directly on Beacon Street. Reservations are available through the restaurant.
