Concord Avenue Cafe
Concord Avenue Cafe has served Observatory Hill since 1991, at the corner of Concord Avenue and Walden Street. Coffee and baked goods are part of the picture, but the Taiwanese dishes give lunch plenty of direction. Bento boxes combine rice, pickled vegetables and a tea egg with choices such as chicken cutlet, minced pork, sausage or char siu.
There are noodle dishes, too, including beef noodle soup and noodles with a pork sauce, alongside bubble tea and espresso drinks. It’s a useful stop when one person wants coffee and another needs a proper meal. The cafe opens Tuesday through Saturday, with shorter Saturday hours, and closes on Sundays and Mondays. Check the menu for current daily availability.
