Con Sabor a Colombia

Con Sabor a Colombia is the Colombian restaurant at 244 Meridian Street in East Boston, open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Breakfast is a real part of the day here: calentao paisa with scrambled eggs, beans, rice, and arepa with cheese; pericos; huevos rancheros; and arepas with shredded beef or carne asada. Later, the table fills out with bandeja paisa (grilled beef, pork belly, egg, ripe plantain, beans, and rice), the larger montañero with chorizo and avocado, sancocho de res, mondongo, and empanadas. Tostones come with guacamole, hogao, or shrimp. Arepa con quesito is the simple cheese arepa if you only want one thing. Meridian Street is East Boston, not a generic downtown block. Come hungry, and order the platter you can actually finish.
