Comfort Kitchen occupies a restored 1912 comfort station beside Dorchester North Burying Ground in Upham’s Corner. The small historic building now houses a restaurant whose menu follows the ingredients and cooking traditions of the African diaspora across Asia and the Americas. That means dinner can start with nigella-crusted fried okra or jerk jackfruit roti sliders, followed by coconut prawn curry or a whole fried trout with crab-fat hot sauce. Vegetable dishes receive the same attention, including suya-spiced fennel and roasted mushrooms with peanuts and sweet potato. There’s a full bar with nonalcoholic cocktails alongside wine and beer.
