Big Bear Cafe and Espresso Bar

Big Bear Cafe & Espresso Bar opened in Dedham Square in 2016, owned by Dedham resident Donna Menna. The menu pairs Mocha Joe’s coffee and Rishi tea with toasts and sandwiches made on Fornax Bakery bread. Honey Bear toast combines whipped ricotta, honey and cinnamon sugar; the Grizzly sandwich adds bacon, avocado, greens and garlicky mayo to seeded wheat.

Frittata sandwiches, overnight oats and pastries give you breakfast options, with beer, cider and wine also available. The bear names continue through the menu and onto the wall: there are six names hidden in the cafe’s bear mural. See how many you can find while you wait for your coffee.
