Ariana Restaurant
Ariana Restaurant serves Afghan cooking on Western Avenue in Brighton, with a covered patio for dinner outside. The family-owned restaurant has been here since 2010. Start with bowlawni, pastries filled with potato or leeks and scallions, then choose between dumplings, kebabs and rice dishes. Mantu comes filled with beef and onions, with yogurt and a vegetable topping. Qabili pairs lamb shanks with seasoned rice, carrots and raisins. Vegetarians have their own section of the menu, including a plate of pumpkin, eggplant, spinach and okra served with rice. Book a table for a sit-down dinner, or order takeout when you want the same food at home.
